Q & A
I ALREADY RECEIVED AN ENVELOPE ONCE, ¿CAN I PARTICIPATE AGAIN?
Yes, of course; the more, the merrier. The only suggestion is to send it to a different person than the one before.
IS IT FREE?
If you submitted your address to the project, you will be the first person on a mail chain. The package will be sent to you at no cost. The same should apply if someone else mailed it to you.
However, when it's your turn to send the package to another person, those shipping costs have to be covered by you.
MAIL SERVICES
Travelling by mail can be damaging - please use sturdy materials while sending out the package.
In some countries, mail has longer shipping times or takes longer than expected - please be patient. Keep in mind that mail can get lost, damaged, or delayed.
ARE MY ADDRESS AND DATA SAFE?
Certainly. When you choose to participate, we make sure that your privacy is respected. Addresses will only be used for the purpose of sending out packages.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE POSTCARDS?
We are hoping to send out 100 postcards in the first edition. When each postcard makes its travel around the world, filling the 5 person log, and then is returned to the project's PO Box, the packages will be digitalized and made into a book.
WHAT CAN I SEND?
The basics of participation are your register of place-date-time and a memory in the shape of drawings, writings, or objects. You are permitted to attach to the envelope as many things as you want, as well as intervening the postcard. Don't be afraid to get creative.
WHO/WHERE SHOULD I SEND IT TO
Whoever and wherever you like. I encourage mailing it to friends, family, or strangers you know will continue the chain. They don't have to live in the same area, country, or even continent. The more the package travels, the more interesting the experience.
